| Rebecca
started riding at the age of 11 in Edmonton at a local stable. She
was hooked immediately and began weekly lessons, she joined
pony club at the age of 14 and did not get her first horse until
the age of 16. |
|
| Luckily,
she chose well and her first horse took her all the way
to the Intermediate level of Eventing!

In
1993 she was asked to ride The Jester,
an Alberta event horse owned by Michelle Dauphinee with
plans to compete him at the North American Young Riders
Championships |
(NAYRC),
a very prestigious event open to riders
16- 21 years who have met all the requirements to compete
internationally. |

| In
1995, Rebecca was named to the Long List of the
Canadian Equestrian Event Team. From 1995,
Rebecca rode a variety of young horses and focused
on completing University and a Master's Degree but
never losing sight of her goal to ride internationally. |
|
| In
1994 Rebecca represented Alberta at the NAYRC and
was the highest placed Canadian, placing 9th out
of 33 riders in the CCI** division. |

In
January 2003, Rebecca purchased Fast Eddy, a
bay gelding Thoroughbred who had never previously evented.
Eddy, as he is named in the barn, came along quickly and
is currently competing at the CCI** level. Rebecca
hopes have Eddy going advanced as well as looking at other
prospects for the upper levels in 2006. |
